"The sum of two numbers is two more than their product." means that . Let me know if this helps.

Note: the product of two (or more) numbers is the result/answer of the multiplication of those numbers. Ex: the product of 2 and 3 is 6

Answer by Edwin McCravy(20081)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!

"The sum of two numbers is two more than their product."

You got the part "the sum of two numbers" right, as x + y

You got the word "is" right as an equal sign

Now all you have to do is figure out how to write

"two more than their product"

Think of it as

"their product plus two"

Now think of

"their product"

as "what you get when you multiply x times y".

When you multiply x times y you write them side-by side as xy.

So

"their product plus 2"

is just

xy plus 2

Now what is the equation?
