Answer by mananth(16946)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x(x+1)=2(x+x+1)+26
x^2+x=4x+2+26
x^2-3x-28=0
x^2-7x+4x-28=0
x(x-7)+4(x-7)=0
(x-7)(x+4)=0
x=7
the numbers are 7, 8
