Question 301011: how do you solve 3K-5=7K+7
Answer by Deina(147) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Decide which side you want to be negative (not that it matters)
I'll have the variable side negative, so
Subtract 7K from each side:
Now we have:
-4K - 5 = 7
Add 5 to each side, giving us:
-4K = 12
Now, divide each side by -4:
So the answer is K = -3
