Suppose Tom has 21 coins totaling $3.45. If he has only dimes and quarters how much of ech does he have?
these are fun
dimes=$0.10
quarters=$0.25
d=dimes
q=quarters
so and i will use elimination method but u could also use substitution method.
______________________________________________
MULTIPLY BY -.10
ADD THE 2 EQUATIONS TOGETHER
DIVIDE BY .15
SUBTRACT 9
So 9 quarters and 12 dimes
