The average of 5 numbers is 13. If the average of 4 of these numbers is 10, what is the fifth number?
sum 4 numbers / 4 = 10 (sum 4 numbers is 40)
sum 5 numbers / 5 = 13 (sum 5 numbers is 65)
difference of the sums is 25
sum 4 numbers + 25 = 40 + 25 = 65
65/5 = 13
the fifth number is 25
