let the two consecutive integers be n and (n+1)
given their sum is 79
so n+n+1=79
=> 2n+1=79
=> 2n=78
=> n=39
thus the numbers are 39 and 40

79/2 = 39.5 which is between the 2 integers.
--> 39 and 40
