We get from the given information
(i)
set = 0 and factor like this
(ii)
factoring, we get
solving each parenthesis, we get
x - 14 = 0
x = 14
and
x + 5 = 0
x = -5
we get 2 answers
x = 14 AND x= -5.

Given,the square of a number is 70 more than 9 times the number.
x^2= 9x+70
x^2-9x-70=0
(x-14)(x+5)=0
