x+2 = consecutive even integer
x+4 = next consecutive even integer

Now workout the problem:
If the middle of three consecutive even integers is added to 100 (x+2+100)
the result is (=)
42 more than the sum (42+)
of the largest (x+4)
and twice the smallest (2x)
