Ok, so let x equal the first number we don't know.
Then, since the 2nd number is 6 more than (+) the first number (x), let the second number equal x+6.
Then, since the 3rd number is "twice" the first, multiply x by 2 to let the third number equal 2x.
Now, the sum of all three numbers is 26.
So we simply add all our numbers and set them equal to 26:
x+(x+6)+2x=26
Now we combine terms to get:
4x+6=26
To get x alone, you subtract 6 from both sides:
4x=20
Then divide both sides by 4!
x=5
So since x (your first number) equals 5, the second number (x+6) is going to be 11... Then your third number (2x) has to equal 10...

5+11+10=26
