Step 1. We note that 5280 ft = 1 mile.

Step 2. We note that 1 hour = 60 minutes = 60 minutes * 60 seconds/minute = 3600 seconds.

Step 3. Then (30 miles/hour) * (5280 ft/ mile) * (1 hour/3600 seconds) = 44 feet/second. Note that the units of miles and hours cancel out in the numerator and denominator to get the desired feet/second.

Step 4. ANSWER; The solution is 44 feet/second from 30 miles/ hour.
