Classify the following systems of equations as consistent, inconsistent, or dependent WITHOUT using any of the previous methods. (graphing, elimination, substitution)
(4x + 3y = 7 )
(2x – y = 10)

Rewrite in slope-intercept form:
y = (-4/3)x + (7/3)
y = 2x - 10
--------------------
The slopes are different so the lines intersect at one point.
Therefore the system is consistent.
