Question 202847: The pH of a substance is 5.342. The [H30+] is?
a. 4.55E-06 moles/liter
b. 5.342E05 moles/liter
c. 2.1979E05 moles/liter
d. 2.1979E-05 moles/liter

pH is the log of the hydronium ion concentration, multiplied by minus one

so, log[H3O+] = -5.342

using the inverse log function on a calculator gives [H3O+] = 4.55E-6 (approx)
