Then the amount of dimes she has is q + 5
And, the amount of nickels she has is 2(q +5), or 2q + 10
Algebraic expression: .25q + .1(q + 5) + .05(2q + 10) = 3.25
.25q + .1q + .5 + .1q + .5 = 3.25
.45q = 2.25
q = 5
She has 5 quarters � $1.25
She has 10 dimes � $1.00
She has 20 nickels - $1.00
