the number consist of two digits and the sum of the digits is 11.If the digits change places the number so obtained is 27 more than the original number.Find the number ?
-------------
Let the two digit number be 10t+u where t is the tens digit and u is the units.
----------------------
EQUATIONS:
t + u = 11
(10u+t)-(10t+u) = 27
--------------
Simplify the 2nd equation to get:
9u - 9t = 27
u -t = 3
--------------
Rewrite the equations:
u - t = 3
u + t = 11
2u = 14
u = 7
---------
Then t = 4
---------------
Original Number: 47
