The base of an isoscles triangle is 9 meters shorter than the other two sides. If the perimeter is 69 meters, find the length of each side?

so lets call each side(which are equal by the way because its an isoscles triangle) a. Therefore the base is a-9 Perimeter equals the sum of all the sides of the triangle so 69=a+a+(a-9) 3a=78 so a=26 so the length of each of the sides is 26 meters while the base is 17 meters.
