An natural number is a number that you could use to count on your fingers:
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, etc.

A whole number extends the natural numbers to include zero:
0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, etc.

The set of integers includes all the whole numbers, and it also includes all the negatives of the whole numbers. This set includes positive, negative, and zero WHOLE numbers. Notice this does NOT include fractions, decimals, and other strange numbers like square root of 2, pi, etc.

Where the three dots mean "and so forth", the set of integers includes
. . . -5, -4, -3, -2, -1, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 . . .

Consecutive Integers are integers that occur in order, one after the other. Examples:
5, 6, 7

13, 14, 15,

If x is the first of three consecutive integers, you will have to add one to get the next integer, and then add another one (for a total of 2) to get the next integer.
If you let x= first integer, then the second integer will be x+1, and the third integer will be x+2.
