X= 1rst even integer X+2= 2nd consecutive integer
Equation 4X=3X+6
Subtract 3Xfrom 4X and get X=6 therefore 6+2=8 the second consecutive integer. Plug into the equation to verify- (4)(6)=(3)(8) 24=24.
