2 consecutive 4 digit number that has a sum of 9137
Let your first number be x;
The next number would be x+1;
So now you have your 2 consectutive numbers.
The equation would be;
x+x+1=9137
Add your like terms;
2x+1=9137
Subtract 1 from both sides;
2x+1-1=9137-1
2x=9136
Divide each side by 2;

x=4568
So your first number would be 4568, the next consectutive number would be;
4568+1=4569
Hope you understand
