Well, if you just guess and check, this problem is very easy to solve. But of course we don't want that. Using an equation, we could solve this easily. We're saying the twice the x (smaller angle for the two supplementary angles) + 30 equals the bigger one. Two supplementary angles equals 180 degrees. So, . Why is it 3x + 30, you ask? because 2x + 30 is only one of the supplementary angles, so we have to have another x, which is the smaller one. 3x + 30 = 180. Subtract 30 on each side and divide 3 on each side, and you'll be left with x = 50. So the smaller angle is 50, so obviously 180 - 50 = 130. So angles are 130 and 50.
