Let's think about it.
An odd number plus an odd number always equals an even number.
So if I add 4 odd numbers together, it's like adding two even numbers together.
Even plus even equals even.
That's a total of 4 odd numbers added together.
So now I have one more odd number to add to my sum (an even number).
Odd plus even equals odd.
No, five odd numbers cannot add up to an even number.
