How old is Carter now?

10 years ago, the sum of Carter and Maisha ages was 77-10-10 = 57,

and Carter's age was twice Maisha's age.



From it, easy mental effort tells you that 10 years ago

Maisha was 57/3 = 19 years old, while Carter was 2*19 = 38 years old.



Hence, now Maisha is 19+10 = 29 years old, while Carter is 38+10 = 48 years old.



CHECK.  29 + 48 = 77 years.   ! Correct !
