Let "g" be # of goats; Let "d" be # of ducks
EQUATIONS:.
d= 2g
(g+d)+(4g+2d)=99
-------------
Rearrange:
d=2g
5g+3d = 99
----------------
Substitute to solve for "g":
5g+3(2g)=99
11g =99
g = 9 (# of goats)
d=2*9 = 18 (# of ducks)
