The greater of two integers is 4 more than twice the smaller. The sum of the two integers is 34.
Let the two integers be x & y ( x>y)
x= 2y+4
x+y =34
substitute x in
x+y=34
2y+4+y=34
3y=30
y=10
x+y =34
plug y =10
x+10=34
x=24
The integers are 10 & 24
