One (the first) number is five less than a second number. Three times the first is 12 more than 6 times the second. Find the numbers.
Second number = N
First number = five less than the second number = N-5 (take 5 away)
Three times the first = 3(N-5)
6 times the second = 6N
12 more than 6 times the second = 6N+12 (add 12)
