The condition LITERALLY says THIS:


 = 26,     (1)

 = 19.     (2)


Add the equations. You will get


 +  = 26 + 19 = 45,   or   x = 45.


Now SUBTRACT eq(2) from eq(1). Then you will get

y = 26-19 = 7.


Answer.  The numbers are 45 and 7.
