Question 1070107: If a group of ten people split $ 9000.00 and 8 of those people get equal amounts and the other two get twice that amount, how much does the 8 people get and how much do the other two get?
I got the answer by trial and error, $750.00 for each of the 8 and $1500.00 for the other two, but I don't know the formula for solving. Can you help?
Thanks,
Sean
