Find two consecutive integers such that one-half of the larger exceeds one-third of the smaller by 9.

 = 9,

Multiply by 6 both sides.

3(n+1) - 2n = 54,

3n + 3 - 2n = 54,

n = 54 - 3 = 51.

Answer.  51 and 52.

Check.    = 26 - 17 = 9.  Correct!
