15/5y+3y < 43
3y+3y < 43
6y < 43
y < 43/6
y < 7.116
y = 7 and x= 6
7*6 = 42
and
42 < 43

Divide the number 43 in two parts . such that 5times the smaller part is a less than thrice the larger part

Therefore, if smaller part = 16, then larger part = 43 - 16, or 27
If smaller part = 15, then larger part = 43 - 15, or 28, and SO FORTH!
FYI: Other person's attempt at solving makes ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE!
