adding two odd numbers gives an even number ... adding two even numbers gives an even number

adding an odd number and an even number gives an odd number

since 9 is odd (four 2's plus 1), the sum of nine odd numbers must be odd

The sum of any TWO odd numbers will always be even
Extending this, the sum of 4, 6 and 8 Odd numbers will also always be even
However, to an Even number if you add an Odd number, the sum is always ODD.
Therefore sum of 9 odd numbers can Never be Even.
60 is Even so the answer is No, the sum of 9 Odd numbers cannot equal 60
