Sharon is working her way through school. She works two part-time jobs for a total of 24 hours a week. Job A pays $6.50 per hour, and Job B pays $7.40 per hour. How many hours did she work at each job the week that she made $166.80.
Number of hours on job A: A
Number of hours on job B: 24 - A
We then get: 6.5A + 7.4(24 - A) = 166.8
Solve this for A, and then determine 24 - A.
You're done....Nothing complex!!
