Two numbers differ by 40 when each is increased by 8 the bigger number is thrice lesser the lesser numberif one number is x then find the other
let one number is x and other is 40-x
both number increase 8
than number will be x +8 other will be 40-x+8=48-x
as per given conditions
48-x=3x-x
48-x=2x
48=2x+x
3x=48
x=16 other number 24
