Then we get: U = T + 5 ------ eq (i)
Also, 10T + U = 3U - 2_____10T - 2U = - 2 -------- eq (ii)
Substitute T + 5 for U in eq (ii) to get a value of 1 for T: the tens digit
Substitute 1 for T in either eq (i) or (ii) to get a value of 6 for U: the units digit.
