The lesser of two consecutive even integers is 10 more than one-half the greater. Find the integers.
----------------------
Let the consecutive even integers be 2x, and 2x+2
-------------------
EQuATION:
2x = (1/2)(2x+2)+10
2x = (x+1) + 10
x = 11
2x = 22 (smaller even integer)
2x+2 = 24 (larger even integer)
