Let there be 2 digits: n and 9-n
The first number is 10n+(9-n)
Interchanging the digits gives you
10(9-n)+n=54
90-9n=54
9n=36
n=4
9-n=5
The digits are 4 and 5!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
