How many liters of a 25% salt solution must be added to 20 liters of a 12% solution to get a solution that is 20% salt?
-------
Equation:
salt + salt = salt
0.25x + + 0.12*20 = 0.20(x+20)
-----
25x + 12*20 = 20x + 20*20
-----
5x = 8*20
x = 8*4 = 32 liters (amt of 25% solution to add)
