Question 912681: The sugar solution comes as 50% solution you are to add this to a 5 liter fluid bag. Determine how much volume is to be added to the 5L bag to get a 10% solution.
Answer by JoelSchwartz(130) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x=amount of sugar solution at fifty percent
.5x=amount of sugar in the solution
t=total amount of volume
t=5+x
.1(5+x)=ten percent of the solution
.5+.1x=.5x
.5=.4x
x=1.25
1.25 liters is to be added
