.55+.55x=1
.55x=.45
x=45/55
x=9/11=.81818181818181818181818181818182

.55(1.81818181818181818181818181818182)=1
55/100*(1 9/11)=1
55/100*(20/11)=1

Never add water to pure acid.
Add the acid to the water.
