6*x+3*y=14.25
x=3-y
6*(3-y)+3*y=14.25
18-6y+3*y=14.25
-3*y=-3.75
y=1.25
x=3-y
x=1.75 lb at $6 and y=1.25 lb at $3

1.75+1.25=3
6*x+3*y=14.25
6*1.75+3*1.25=14.25
10.5+3.75=14.25
14.25=14.25
