.30x + .20(100G - x) = .23(100G)

Answer by richwmiller(17219) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
a+b=100,
0.2*a+0.3*b=0.23*100
a=100-b
0.2*(100-b)+0.3*b=23
20-0.2b+0.3*b=23
0.1*b=3
b=30
a=100-b
a=70 gal at 20% b=30 gal at 30%
check
0.2*70+0.3*30=0.23*100
14+9=23
23=23
ok
