a pharmacist wishes to mix solution that is 3% Minoxidil. She has on hand 100 ml of 1% solution and wishes to add some 5% solution to obtain the desired 3% solution. How much 5% solution should she add?

x=amt of 5% solution to add
5%x+1%*100=3%(x+100)
.05x+1=.03x+3
.02x=2
x=200
amt of 5% solution to add=200 ml
