let x=amt of 12% solution to be used
72-x=amt of 30% solution to be used
12%x+30%(72-x)=20%*72
.12x+21.6-.30x=14.4
.18x=7.2
x=40
72-x=32
amt of 12% solution to be used=40 litres
amt of 30% solution to be used=32 litres
