One would assume the acid percent is expressed in weight per weight.

Look-up the specific gravity for 12% hydrofluoric acid, and convert to pounds per gallon;
Convert 275 gallons into pounds using the pound per gallon density;
Multiply this poundage by 0.12;
AND that is the pounds of pure hydrofluoric acid.
