P  = 2L + 2w = 24ft  

0r   L + w = 12ft

    (7/5)w + w = 12   | L is (7/5)w

    (7/5)w + (5/5)w = 12

      (12/5)w = 12

            w = 12(5/12)

            w = 5ft  and L = 7ft   

A = (5ft)(7ft) = 35ft^2
