Answer by richwmiller(17219) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
8-3=5 hours at x-2
y=3x,
3x+5(x-2)=110
x=15
y=45 miles traveled in the first 3 hours
x-2=13
5*13=65 miles traveled in the last 5 hours
