How much water must be evaporated from a 200 gallon solution that is 30% acid to obtain a solution that is 40% acid?
:
Let w = amt of water to evaporated
.30(200) = .40(200-w)
60 = 80 - .4w
.4w = 80 - 60
w = 20/.4
w = 50 gal of water required to be evaporated
