A mixture of nuts contains peanuts and cashews in the ratio of 5 : 1 in mass in the ratio of peanuts : cashews. Find the amount of each nut that would be required to fill a container that can hold a mass of 300 grams.

Hi,

300gm container  mixture of nuts contains peanuts and cashews in the ratio of 5 : 1

       | Cross Multiplying to solve

  x = 1500 - 5x

 6x = 1500

  x = 250gm peanuts and 50gm cashews
