Using 2 variables you get:
Quantity: f + t = 40mL
Acid:::: 5f+15t = 8*50
--------------------------------
Modify for elimination:
15f + 15t = 15*40
5f + 15t = 8*50
----------------------
Subtract and solve for "f":
10f = 200
f = 20 mL (amt of 5% solution needed)
