Question 832304: Peanuts cost £1.65 for 200g. How many kilos of peanuts can I buy with £30? Show your workings out
Answer by LinnW(1048)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Since peanuts are £1.65 for 200g,
This is the same as £1.65 for 0.200 kilos
Set up a proportion

do cross products
1.65x = 30(0.200)
1.65x = 6
divide each side by 1.65
x = 6/1.65
x = 3.64
So we can buy 3.64 kilos with £30 .
