heated 500 milliliters of an 8% saline solution until all but 400 milliliters of the solution has evaporated.
What percentage of the remaining solution was salt.
:
Let x = the decimal form of the percent of remaining solution
400x = .08(500)
400x = 40
x = 40/400
x = .1 which is 10%
