Question 8146: Use 8 9s to reach a sum of 1125. My daughter has struggled with this for hours. SO HAVE I. Please help quick
Answer by longjonsilver(2297)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1125 is built up as 9x125
125 is built up as 99 + 26
26 is built up as 9+9+9-1
1 is built up as 9/9

so, altogether, we have

9 x [99 + (9+9+9-{9/9})]

this took me a while!
